The World Economic Forum has released the 19th edition of the Global Gender Gap Report 2025, an annual report published since 2006 that aims to measure gender gaps across the economy, politics, health, and education through a composite index reflecting disparities at the global level.

The Egypt-specific edition was launched in collaboration with the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies, the Forum’s research partner in the country.

Through this document, Zed Foundation shares its perspective on the key findings of the report, highlighting points relevant to women’s economic and social empowerment in Egypt, with a focus on areas that require urgent interventions to promote justice and equality.

As part of its ongoing monitoring of global reports that shape the present and future of work, Zed Foundation highlights in this edition the “Future of Jobs Global Report 2024”, recently released by the World Economic Forum. This marks the fifth global edition of the report and the second edition focused on Egypt, continuing a series of periodic reports first issued in 2016.
