About Zed Foundation
Zed Foundation is a registered non-profit organization (Registration No. 12259, 2024) dedicated to economically empowering marginalized groups in Egypt, including youth, women, entrepreneurs, and owners of small and micro enterprises.
The Foundation adopts an integrated approach that combines economic empowerment, innovation, and sustainable development, aiming to integrate individuals into the formal economy through training programs, specialized consultancy, and practical solutions that promote social and economic inclusion.
Zed focuses on building a fair and inclusive economic environment by conducting research and policy development and launching development initiatives that keep pace with technological transformations, with the goal of creating equal opportunities and achieving a lasting societal impact.

Zed Foundation takes pride in its team, which combines diverse expertise with a shared passion for serving youth. The team consists of five members of the Board of Trustees, established in accordance with Law No. 149 of 2019. Each member contributes their unique experience in economics, law, and sustainable development to achieve the Foundationās goals.

Organizational Structure and Key Stakeholders
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees of Zed Foundation consists of five Egyptian members with diverse expertise in economics, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, including representation for youth and women. All members hold full civil and political rights under Egyptian law and have no final convictions in criminal or dishonesty-related cases. The Board guides the Foundationās strategy and ensures the achievement of its vision and objectives in empowering youth and supporting small businesses.Branches and Work Units
Zed Foundationās organizational structure is distributed across multiple branches and specialized work units that focus on implementing the Foundationās programs and contributing to its developmental goals. Operating at the national level, each branch plays a role in initiatives that support economically marginalized groups, including youth, women, refugees, and people with disabilities, in addition to fostering small entrepreneurship projects and promoting innovation.Individuals and Volunteers
Zed Foundation considers every active individual seeking to support economic and social development in their community as an essential part of its journey toward change. Whether an activist, consultant, or contributor, the Foundation engages continuously with these individuals locally and regionally through training programs, community awareness initiatives, and participation in sustainable development projects.
The Foundation places special emphasis on volunteers and trainees, who form a core part of its organizational structure. They are given opportunities to gain professional experience, learn new skills, and contribute to achieving the Foundationās objectives, while also promoting a culture of economic empowerment and entrepreneurship across different community groups.
